Fine print
- No annual fee and no foreign transaction fees. 0% intro APR on purchases for the first 12 months from account opening, then a variable 19.99% to 28.49%.
- Earn is 2x on United purchases, at gas stations, and on local transit and commuting (rideshare, taxis, train tickets, tolls, mass transit), 1x everything else (Chase page and offer details as of 2026-10-12).
- Chase advertises '5x total' on United flights: the card's 2x plus the 3 miles per $1 any MileagePlus member earns on the fare. After $10,000 in card purchases in a calendar year, United raises that flight earn to 6 miles per $1 ('8x total'). Only the card's 2x is modeled.
- The two checked bag certificates, cardmember award pricing (at least 10% off United award flights) and the higher flight earn all need $10,000 in card purchases in a calendar year. Award pricing then lasts for the rest of that year and all of the next. Below that, the card has no free bags.
- United miles: conservative fixed value of 1.0 cent each, applied toward a cash United fare with Money + Miles. Saver award flights are usually worth more.
- Variable APRs are based on the 7.00% prime rate as of 9/22/2026 (Prime + 12.99% to 21.49%). No authorized-user fee is listed in pricing & terms.
- Chase may approve you for a Visa Signature or a Visa Platinum card, which can come with different benefits.
