Fine print
- Rewards are paid ONCE A YEAR as a credit card reward certificate after the February statement closes, covering January-December statements. It is redeemable in a single in-person transaction at a U.S. Costco warehouse (including Puerto Rico) for cash or merchandise, and expires December 31 of the year issued. Rewards over $10,000 may be paid by check or electronic transfer. You forfeit unpaid rewards if you close or convert the card before the certificate issues, and no certificate is issued under $1.

- The $7,000 annual cap is shared by the 5% Costco gas and 4% other gas/EV rules (combined), then 1%.
