Capital One Venture Rewards

A Capital One Mastercard card with a $95 annual fee. Here's what it pays back after that fee for three spending profiles, simulated month by month. Terms verified Oct 5, 2026.

What it's worth

5 years, the welcome offer counted when the profile's own spending reaches it, points valued for travel. Merchant credits like Uber or DoorDash aren't counted for typed profiles.

Fine print
  • Capital One miles: 'Cover your travel purchases' (statement credit against travel charges posted in the last 90 days) and bookings on Capital One Travel redeem at 1 cent per mile (issuer terms: multiply the travel cost by 100 to get miles needed). Cash/statement credit or check not tied to travel is 0.5 cent per mile per TPG and other secondary sources; Capital One's own terms only say rates 'vary'.
  • The one-time $300 Capital One Travel Stays credit is part of the limited-time welcome offer and is NOT an annual credit, so it is kept out of `credits`. A model that counts first-year value should add up to $300 (hotel and vacation rental bookings on Capital One Travel only, within 12 months of opening).
  • Balance transfers: no fee at the regular Transfer APR; 4% fee on any balance transferred at a later promotional APR. No intro APR.
  • However, since Feb-Mar 2026 Capital One has been issuing some NEW Venture accounts on its Discover network (per benefit guides reported by TheStreet, PYMNTS, U.S. News). Applicants are told the network during the application. Discover acceptance abroad and at Costco is weaker.
  • Global Entry/TSA PreCheck credit up to $120 once every 4 years (issuer terms).
  • Purchase APR is 19.74%, 24.74% or 28.74% variable (disclosure, campaign 2026-09-30).
